They lived in small rooms stacked on top of each other, and the stories increased to about 11 or 14 stories. It couldn’t grow higher than that because there was an airport nearby and the Hong Kong government forbad taller construction. It is said that most of the people made a living in factories or businesses in the town or outside, and that people who could move out did so, so the city had a disproportionate number of old or sick women and men.However, somehow the town kept growing until people were evicted and the town demolished during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The bottom stories received no natural light. Gangs thrived to some extent until the 1970s when police raids and the opposition of people in the city stopped a lot of the crime.

Hong Kong Wong Tai Sin Temple

Wong Tai Sin told him to build a temple at the site and also told him where to build structures and what to name them. He began to build the temple complex in 1921.There are several halls, temples and pavilions including the Three Saints Hall, the Bronze Pavilion that excludes women and girls, the Archives Hall, the Yue Hing Shrine that has a Buddha, a Confucian hall for the worship of Confucius, and a colorful garden called the Good Wish Garden.
The complex has a library for Chinese religious literature.According to the founder of the temple, the temple site is 3,600 paces from a pier in Kowloon. There are shops nearby where people can buy joss sticks, incense, and other things.

the Hong Kong government built the Tsing Ma Bridge to connect Tsing Yi with Ma Wan across the channel.he span is the largest of all bridges in the world carrying rail traffic. It looks like a heavier version of the Golden Gate Bridge. In comparison, the middle span of the Golden Gate Bridge is about 1,280 meters long (4,200 feet).Construction of the bridge was carried out by a joint venture of Costain, Mitsui and Trafalgar House. Construction started in May of 1992 and ended in May of 1997. The former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher helped to inaugurate the bridge and the Lantau Link transportation facilities.

Lasers, skylights, searchlights, LED effects and some fireworks are used for visual effects. Amplifiers add music and narration. About fifty of the big buildings on both sides of the harbor participate. The technology was developed by an Australian firm, and the show cost about 5 or 6 million USD to develop.
